Today we tracked Australia’s longest river from Murray Bridge to the sea, and spent a lot of time with giraffes, lions, elephants, and sundry wild animals.

Day 09 – Cape Jaffa, The Big Lobster, Coorong NP and Old Tailem Town
Today we saw “big”. A giant crustacean, a giant national park, and a big glimpse into the life of early Australian settlers. Let the adventure continue.

Day 8 – Engelbrecht Cave, Beachport, Cape Jaffa Lighthouse
Today we went deep under Mt Gambier, found a super salty lagoon and checked out a lighthouse that has been moved into town. Let the adventure continue.

Day 7 – Mt Gambier
Today we found a garden in a sinkhole, a lake in a crater, a little lake in a sinkhole, and, a park featuring a lake, in a sinkhole! Today’s adventure is all about the sinkholes!

Day 6 – Giant Koala, Naracoorte Caves National Park, Cape Northumberland
Today we were stopped in our tracks by a Giant Koala, went underground fossil hunting before heading to the southernmost point in South Australia.

Day 5 The Grampians National Park
Today we set out to explore The Grampians National Park, or at leas the parts nearby. Spectacular views define today’s adventures.

Day 4 Portland Tram, Memorial Tower, Cape Nelson Lighthouse, Wannon Falls
To get our day started with rattled around Portland for a while, then got up high in a converted water tower, headed down to an 1880’s lighthouse, before being very disappointed halfway to our next night’s lodgings.

Day 3 Hopkins Falls, Rainforest Walk, Great Coast Road
Today we checked out a 90 meter wide waterfall, that’s about 100 yards Then we drove a couple of hours to get 30 meters or 100 ft, up in the air, no drone required, before spending most of the afternoon checking out the Great Ocean road.

Day 2 Bendigo, Great Stupa, Kara Kara National Park
Today was mostly a travel doy, but we managed to stop in a a beautiful local park in Bendigo, Then on to the Great Stupa of Compassion and finally, we visited the largest intact remnant of the might box ironbark, that once covered 13% of Victoria before stopping Warnembool for the night.

Day 1 was a big one Shepparton, Echuca and BendigoDay
Off the ferry early, we were a long way into Victoria before the sun rose, In Shepparton we found the most amazing museum of everything that moves people, got a backstage look at a 10,000 piece costume collection, found some very artistic cows, before heading for the historic wharf at Echuca. Final stop of the day was 60 meter (200′) down a real gold mine!
